Do you dress "old"?

I still have some 70s shirts, and some 20 year old pants- those are my new clothes.
you sound like my father. He always said the same thing... and never wore anything fashionable at all.. he called his clothes 'serviceable''.. when I look back at pictures of him when he was in his forties..I think he looks dressed in what a 60 year old at the time would have worn. Flannels, shirt, tie...

Spring/Summer: Levi's and tee shirt
Fall/Winter: Levi's and sweatshirt / 'Hoodie'.

Recently, my youngest works as a Merchandiser for several 'Rap' artists here in Nashville
and I sometimes get 'mistakes' that I'll wear out and about.

Since I'm past the age of a 'Midlife Crisis', might be my rebellious side finally coming out.
Enjoy the looks I get with my grey ponytail and beard.

The sport coat screams "notice me"! The trousers seem rather baggy, but thery're not that bad. Please tell me they don't ahe pleats. Other than that you look good.

I think dressing old is more like dressing as though you don't care how you come across to others. For example:

Ill fitting clothing
Worn out clothing
Dirty clothing
Poor grooming ( we don't need to see your nose and ear hairs sticking out)
Mussed up hair
Shabby shoes
lack of personal hygiene
smelly clothing
Dressing like your 20 again. (OTOH, dressing more like the younger folks can take years of your image. It's often a judgement call about what works well and what looks ridiculous.)

Worst of all is constant complaining about aches, pains, the things you can't do anymore, and especially telling those awful You Know You Are Old When..... jokes.

Please tell me they don't ahe pleats.
By this I think you mean: "have pleats." My lady finished my new trousers last night. New? Well actually she has made me a replacement pair after the dry cleaners managed to indelibly stain the originals. Do they have pleats, they most certainly do, however, you can be assured that both legs are of the same length, I managed to lay them out to make one leg look longer than the other. These beautiful trousers need professionally pressing now, that's because, as you can see from the third photograph, the legs are fully lined. Getting a crease with a damp towel and iron just won't do them justice.

No. But then am still slim, fit, with BMI 22 and little grey hair. Before retirement worked decades wearing appropriate business casual clothing for corporate workplace environments. As a retired senior it is Levi 511s, soft muted color running shoes, and casual tops like t-shirts, polo shirts, and various warmer casuals during winter.

Thank you! Added to my music playlist. Doesn't it rock when the musicians you've loved for decades join up with the new younger artists that you're also digging?

Gulp! Rob Thomas has also been decades at this point. Times flies faster and faster as you age.

Let me correct myself. Doesn't it rock when a muscian you've enjoyed for over half a century (!) joins up with one you only have for over a couple of decades?

I dress somewhat differently than when I was young so perhaps? I'm a real t-shirt and jeans kind of gal.

I find dresses uncomfortable and hate worrying about the skirt in the wind so I''ve spurned those for decades now and cannot believe the mini-skirts up to my behind I wore in junior high and high school. So do not miss clutching the hem desperately on a breezy day to not be exposed. Then enter my disco era though I wore those polyester dresses to work in true secretarial style. In the actual discos, it was (rolls eyes) designer jeans (loved my Gloria Vanderbilts) with a nice (polyester again) top, often sequined. Shudder. Yes, I also had an afro that I had to get a perm to have. Why do you ask? Casually it was a t-shirt or sweater depending on season, maybe a tank top.

Platform shoes, however, for the most part, as well as high heels were not a thing for me as I've always had a mild arthritis is one leg (how I wish it was still one leg and mild) and could not walk in them. I did, however, find these strange pair of platforms that I would love to get back again. The platform and heel were only like a quarter inch difference in height and made of some artificial spongy material of a light khaki color and the uppers were made of blue cuorderoy (sp?) that really gave and was a wonderful shock absorber. These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn and I miss them. Of course, I was nuts about a short boy when I bought them as a senior in high school. I already towered over him so what was I thnking. I am that strange rare woman that likes short men. I can only credit this from my mother coming from a tall family and my father a short one. She was way taller than Dad and my aunt, her sister, was 6' 6 (no lie; everyone was over six feet except one oddball sister that was weird 5' 7". Many of my uncles were even taller than my aunt. My mother lied about her height but was probably around six foot even. My uncle, by marriage, her husband, had to be a good 5'11" but my aunt still towered over him.

I believe I have a picture of those cherished shoes somewhere:

That was before I got the afro. Excuse the mess. My sister's at Christmas and she had two little ones. Here's the afro:

Along with one of those polyester secretary dresses. And my best friend! Yes, that's a poster of her when she was a kitten behind us. I'm 20 here, she's 2.

I think I'm glad my look has aged. In winter, I do wear sweats and t-shirts or jeans in summer t-shirts and shorts, denim or knit. To go out, nice dress pants and top. But I do not bother to get all dolled up like that anymore. I barely function. I haven't got it in me. I find I can no longer tolerate long sleeves not sure why. Makes no sense. I'd rather slide under a blanket but I do in winter and fall of course, when I go outside, tolerate the appropriate sweater or jacket.

It's summer on the island here so I wear shorts, plain or island-print sleeveless top, and flip flops, sandals, or white tennis shoes. Occasionally I'll wear white capris pants or a lightweight island-print casual flowing sleeveless dress when going out. It's hard to describe. The tag on one says "Seven Islands" and is a sleeveless free flowing midi dress and the other one i got here at a beach store's sidewalk sale

In the Summer, I constantly wear a bikini, I wear a shift dress over it.. I swim a lot and like to be ready to have a dip.
At night I may go skinny dipping. Haven't been arrested yet!

Jeans and a T-Shirt never looks old.

Then again - I have no tattoos or piercings so that may do it lol.
Hawaiian shirts are timeless too, what's more they don't have to feature exotic plants and/or birds of paradise. My clever lady has made all mine, whilst I choose the fabric. This particular shirt depicts a time of hedonism amongst the privileged few.
