Do You Eat At The Table Or In Front Of The TV

Hate to admit it but most times I eat in front of the tv.....kitty along side me on the sofa begging, and yes, he has his own little plate.

Does a laptop count? If so, yes - usually watching something on Netflix. A favorite memory - snuggled on the floor with my dog in front of the TV (don't have either anymore), sharing a bowl of peeled shrimp. He insisted on having his dipped in sauce! This was a weekly ritual.

Over the years, I've developed the bad habit of eating over the kitchen sink... ... One of my daughter's has picked that up from me.

Wow - I've only seen that in movies! Wouldn't work for me - double sinks, generally full of dishes!

Unless I have company, I eat in front of the TV or computer. Nothing wrong with eating in front of the TV UNLESS you have a big bag of chips or doughnuts or other food that should be limited - then you won't be aware of how much of it you're eating. Since I can't eat goodies any more, that's not likely.
Sometimes, I eat over the sink.

Eating with the TV on in my house is a definite no. When I grew up the TV was turned off at mealtime except for a rare treat on a Friday when I wanted to watch Howdy Doody.
I did that with my kids as well.
Now with just the hubby and myself we still eat at the kitchen table with no TV. The hubby isn't much of a talker and having the TV on during dinner would be like eating with a corpse.
I made the mistake of going to Apple Bees for dinner. There are TVs in every corner. I was miserable and I doubt the hubby knew what he ate.

I eat standing over the kitchen sink with the TV on. I'm alone so I tell myself that's OK.
But I do prepare nutritionally balanced meals. And the dishes are promptly washed up....it's a neat and tidy kitchen sink.

When my kids were home, we always ate at the table. Since I'm alone and don't have a t.v., I usually eat at my computer desk.

I always eat on the couch in front of the tv with my doggie peering at me and almost sitting in my lap.

The only time I eat at the table is when I have people over for lunch or dinner which is rarely these days.
