Do you eat raw Oysters?

There is a town near us that has a huge oyster festival every summer. They claim nearly 70,000 oysters get shucked and eaten that weekend. Never heard of anyone dying from it. When I went years ago I would eat my fill. I still go but I eat lobster rolls instead. Eating raw seafood these days is asking for trouble.

I eat raw fish, too. After all, l'm in Hawaii so nothing unusual about it. Mainly Asian. Best to be up to date with your hepatitis C vaccination. Correction: That should be hepatitis A Vaccination.

Loved them years ago. They seemed to deliver some missing nutrient. Now they scare me. I wish it wasn't so.

Yes! I love them. Raw is the ONLY way I eat them.

Yeah the water around Hawaii is probably cleaner than the NW Atlantic. Lots of red tide, pollution and other stuff like that makes me not to want to take the risk..
