I don't get bored. Kids and grandkids ask me, "but what do you do?" I don't know. I stay busy and do pretty much what I want to do and am content.

This doesn’t sound like boredom to me. It reads as lack of motivation…no, that’s not quite right. A sort of apathetic approach. There’s a word for it…..and damn if I can’t remember it. Gotta love senior moments!

@officerripley I just re-read my reply. I want to apologize for the way it sounds! It comes across as rude and insensitive and that wasn’t at all my intent!

I’m concerned for you, because I’m wondering if perhaps you’re verging on depression? Just a touch? And that was what was worrying me and I just did a really bad job of communicating my concern for you.

Our local dry cleaners both do laundry. They even pick up and deliver. You might check that.

Come to think of it, one of our laundromats has a wash, dry, and fold service. Seems to me that wherever you are, someone must do it.

Some women do laundry in their homes. Keep looking and asking around!

I occasionally get bored, but then I remember how much of my personal life I gave up during my career and it all comes into focus.

I do try to do something entertaining every week, even if it is going to a movie by myself while my Hubby is at work. We book concerts or plays each month so I can break up the routine. My cousin always said, "STLFT", which means "Something to look forward to". That helps get me through life.
