Point made.

I still think It's a very small amount of panhandlers that lead lavish lifestyles. It's a red herring story people use so they won't feel guilty by not giving anything to transient individuals.
 

i take it a panhandler is what we call beggers?
never have and never will,a load of wasters conning people,,imo
 
Sometimes I'll give a panhandler money but sometimes not, depends on whether I feel they are legit. I won't give anything to panhandlers (or flower sellers I guess that isn't really panhandling tho) at intersections while I'm driving because I find that whole situation annoying (people walking around in traffic).
 
A young woman asked me for money downtown once. I replied, "Sorry. I was just going to ask you the same thing."

She went ballistic on me as I walked away.
