Do you ever mess up taking your medication?

I use one of those weekly med things with the little boxes. I have two. One for my 4 times a day meds, and one for my diabetic, "eat with food" meds.
So, you think you couldn't screw that up. I don't
know why, but every once in a while, I forget to take them. I've been taking pain meds since the 80s, so you think I couldn't screw that up????
Do you ever mess up taking your meds? And how did that happen?

I have messed up several times, so I set-up my daily meds in a row of fancy little shot glasses. Looks kinda pretty all lined up alongside my basket of Rxs. Each glass has a little sticker on it with the time I'm sposed to take it: 9am, noon, 3pm, 6pm, and 9pm.

Sometimes Michelle sets 'em up for me, or she at least checks to make sure it's done and done right.

Main reason for the mess-ups is, if I get really severe break-through pain, I think maybe I skipped a dose and I second-guess myself.

Yes, but no serious incidents. I have a system for keeping it all straight but it relies on thinking about it. I could set an alarm but that's getting silly.

The morning stuff I get to reliably, evening stuff I sometimes forget entirely but only rarely.

I have a routine at home. Everything has to be set out in a specific order. My phone alarm goes off for the first one of the day. If I haven’t set it out the night before, I won’t remember if I took it.

It was hard having a clear routine while travelling. I didn’t stress about the supplements that I’m supposed to take,

I only take 2 pills and keep them in a daily holder and take them as soon as I get up. One of my dogs needs heart medicine that has to be given at certain times and 8 hours after eating. She gets one anytime between 3-5 am and I couldn’t always remember if I had given it to her. So before I go to bed I put it in a shot glass in the bathroom and that works for me.

Yes, I do. I have two of those 28-day big boxes, one for a.m. pills and one for the p.m. ones.

I keep them out on the bathroom counter in plain sight so I can take them first thing in the morning and last thing at night. But, noooooooo.......I forget at least once a week.

Luckily, it's not the end of the world if I forget them for a day or two.

I only take one pill a day..in the morning before I eat.... and I even forget that sometimes despite it being routine and in my bedside drawer.. :D..I do take several vitamins every day which I have in a pill holder which have to be taken after food.. and I occasionally miss a day with those but generally I'm very good at not missing..

My wife, Jacquie, takes care of my daily pill-taking. She also cuts my hair, trims my beard, and keeps my toenails in check. Been doing it for years and I can't thank her enough. Pretty helpful at my age and she's not far behind me, age-wise, as she's approaching 88.

Yes. Sometimes I forget to take my medications if I'm involved in projects around the house. Some days I just don't feel like taking them.

Sometimes I forget to take them. Sometimes I skep certain meds on purpose or opt to take them later than usual. Like you I have a pill case, but don't have separate cases for different classes of medication. I do fill two cases at a time and have a third "back up" that I keep in my purse. I'm often out of whack with putting my eyedrops in, as far as timing goes, but my eye pressures have been consistently good.

Mine are lined up, right at the base of my computer monitor. I rarely forget to take them :)
Then, there are vitamins, which I sometimes do forget to take :(
