Do you ever wish there was a women's only on this site?

Wouldn't it be nice to compare questions, concerns, late in life crust you may be going on with your body? No offense men. There are plenty of nice men on this site but damn it? I'd love to ask a woman do you have this going on? Do you have that going on? In private. Well, I'll be polite for this one. Becoming older and within I'd say the past 3 years my hair looks and feels like hard straw.

It sucks as I used to have nice, soft hair and seems like overnight, pure straw. I've purchased many, many, many hair products (including supplements) as they say; "Your hair will look terrific with this or if you use that". I'd list all of the many products I've purchased but they're all a simple no go. Too many to mention. What works for you turning straw like hair into soft, substile hair? You see women? I'd love to go deeper than that with asking women questions since I don't have any female friends and can't compare or get advice. Once again, private. I believe that maybe a no go. Hum.

My advice as a man: You could use private messages (PM) to communicate with other women. This is also possible with several participants. Or even better, make a Zoom meeting and invite other women. This is face to face.

Nope, I can't see a need for a ladies only section. If I'd ever have a question or concern like you mentioned, I'd most likely start a joint PM with a few of the trusted women members here. On second thought, though, I seriously can't think of anything that I'd want to ask or discuss that I wouldn't feel comfortable asking about in a "mixed audience."
would the no politics rule apply to a group PM ?

Can't see how it would apply since no one sees it except the participants. If it's a group PM or even one-on-one, I think it would hopefully be respectful enough that participants would voice it if they're not comfortable with a subject. And leaving a group (I think) is just a matter of removing yourself if you wish. @OldFeller

I've seen threads that were titled something like "For Us Gals Only: Question about {whatever}" and it seemed like it worked ok; I don't remember any of the men even responding. As @OneEyedDiva pointed out, some men may get curious and peek but they don't know who you are so it doesn't matter. You can be unspecific about what the question's about; maybe say something like "Question about Health."

The idea is good. It doesn't sound like it would go over well though.
Besides, if you started a woman's only thread the men on here would be sneaking on trying to see what makes us tick and, of course, our mysterious womanly ways. 💃 😉
Although, I doubt that's a mystery anymore. 🙂

As far as your hair goes…try washing less often. Rub oil into your scalp. Comb…do not brush. Use a sulfate free shampoo. And welcome to the club!
