Do you find re-reading books is rewarding?

I was in the fourth grade when I read my first "real" book. It was a 240 page science fiction book written for youngsters and recommended by my teacher. Somewhere during the last decade or two I found an old, beat up copy of that book and it followed me home. About a month ago I ran across it and decided to re-read it. Silly, childish, wildly out of date . . . but it was a hoot to think I first read it 65 years ago. :giggle:

Very rarely.

There are only a couple of books I have re read. Others I might flick through and skim read bits again but not the whole book.

In my youth, I got into some Louis L'Amour novels

After the third one, I found the story line repetitive;
Bad guys
Lady in trouble
Gonna lose the ranch
Good guy gets beat to a pulp
Recovers
Rolls some smokes 'tween events
Cleans his six shooter a few times
Mesquite is always mentioned
Finally Revenge
Saves the ranch for the girl
Rides off into the sunset
Will be back one day

So, it was like rereading the first one
