I saw a movie on this the other night. So what is your daily diet and what health issues do you suffer from?
I’m fat tooI haven't eaten meat 32 years this summer. Plant based over 15 years. I'm fat. No health benefits. Just psychological benefits.
I also stopped palm oil 5 or so years ago. That's been harder than anything. Goodbye Trader Joe's cinnamon rolls in a can with icing.![]()
I'm such a bad cook. I'd like to do stir fry stuff. I don't think mine come out very good. I had a stick free wok style pan but I stopped using stick free and it was like new so I donated it.omnivore - I gave up steaks and roasts 5 years ago; now it is stir fry's or salads with small portion of meat or seafood.
Oh glad to see another plant based person here. I used to ID as vegan but stopped. I don't seem to fit the mold. While I admire people who eat a balanced diet, my personal preference is to follow a plant-based diet. I enjoy a variety of vegetables and plant-based proteins like tofu and lentils. I find that this type of diet makes me feel energized and healthy.
For example, last night I made a delicious lentil soup using vegetables like carrots, celery, and kale. I seasoned it with cumin and coriander, and it was packed with flavor and nutrients. I also love making roasted vegetable bowls with quinoa and chickpeas for a satisfying and filling meal.
What particularly do you like about dairy? Have you tried substitutes? Is there some particular health problem you're trying to avoid? So I am going to switch to a primarily plant based diet. There are pretty compelling reasons for doing so…and it is just time. But….I love dairy….
This. Just a small amount of meat as the basis of the flavour and for the protein.Omnivore. Have reasonably good health
Don’t feel bad about it. You’re going in a great direction anyway. I’ve been a vegetarian for well over 30 years and have tried to give up dairy four separate times and failed every time.So I am going to switch to a primarily plant based diet.
