Do you get your shoes repaired?

Nah.... when I blow out my flip-flops I toss them out and buy a new pair.
My go-to slip ons are not repairable - I have them in two colors. (Merrill Encore Breeze).

As for dress shoes, these days mine go out of style long before I wear them out.

Do they still have places that repair shoes? I thought that went out with the blacksmith? Most of the shoes made today aren't worth repairing. When it comes to other clothing, I have an old Woolrich canvas coat that says made in the U.S.A. inside. It's probably a collector's item. I won't part with it for anything.

Find appropriate feet for you shoes, wear shoes until they conform to appropriate feet.

I do whenever I can Ronni but a couple of times in the last couple of years, my shoes were irreparable. I used to go to the shoe maker as regularly as necessary to get new heals put on but these new materials on some shoes now can't be replaced. Because I had heel spurs several years ago, I was advised to wear rubber soled shoes. Most often those can't be fixed. Thankfully I no longer suffer from the spurs and not all my shoes have rubber soles.
