Goodness me its like trying to go cave dwelling trying to get the ruddy hoover under the bed so dark u cant see
hand in front of you 🤭 I keep mine clear ' but getting the hoover under it is traumatic ; I do mine every 2 weeks
I could shift the bed round but it takes to long -- nxt time king size divan for me …..to the floor . do u get down
under there haha - and rummage ……..

It took me a few seconds to understand what you meant LOL. The Hoover you refer to is usually called a vacuum cleaner in these parts. I have hardwood floors so there is no rug to trap dust bunnies, so just a big dust mop will do. It's a lot easier.

NO I have a Divan bed there's no space to get under there with a hoover... but it's a storage base, so I keep a lot of snap lidded boxes in there with shoes, handbags and books ... everything always looks very clean because it has a lining between the base and the floor

I just did that recently, only really do it a couple of times a year. I have a king sized bed and I used to reach under there with a small Oreck vacuum I have, like a tiny canister type, but it never worked well.

Not too long ago I bought a Shark Navigator thanks to some recommendations from folks here on the forum, love it and used the detached mode with extension and brush, worked very well and actually reached to the middle. I have a big bright LED flashlight that I just set on the floor and pointed in the right direction.

I have a lot of cat fur under there too, nice to clean it out once in awhile. Helps cut down on dust and allergic reactions by me and the dog. Can't keep up with all the dust in my house though. o_O

Under the bed is where we store some of the "things" that our kids will have to deal with when we are gone.

We have plenty more to handle without going under there.

its choc a bloc with your stuff though,,,
just move it and then hoover it

Impossible to keep up with the dust here in NM -- what with the wind blowing all the desert around. I gave up trying years ago.

I know what you mean Butterfly, we have a big open space area behind our back chain link fence, but all around really when the winds kick up the dust and dirt is relentless. Luckily I'm not a fussy housekeeper, between the cat, dog, hubby and the wind, it's a losing battle! :giggle:

No but my bed is movable so periodically I move it to sweep the hardwood floor.
It’s not a weekly routine by no means.
One dog likes sleeping under there when it gets too hot. It’s so cute.

My tall platform bed makes a wonderful dog hideaway too .... when I don't see him anywhere, I know where to find him.

They must feel safe there. Mines also a tallish bed but I’ve got a set of dog stairs . They’ve got their own beds on top of my bed so it’s a bed on a bed type thing. No dust under ‘their’ beds. 🥰

You must have a setup like mine :) .... I've got dog stairs at the foot of the bed too, but no dog beds on my bed..lol

Under the king size bed is one of the reasons why I have a robot to vacuum the floors.
