Do you have a close relationship with your nieces and nephews?

No!

I don’t have any contact with my brother’s kids and grandkids, I stay in touch with my sister’s kids and grandkids through Facebook.

If my sister dies before I do that will probably be the end of any family contact.

No particular reason or ill will just nothing in common.

I don’t have any relationship with them since my sister stole the inheritance that our parents left for us from me.
I was Godmother to her daughter. When her daughter had her first child, she needed to work and daycare was so expensive. I took care of her son from the time he was born until he was a year old Mon. - Friday from 6 am to 6 pm and then I never saw him again ! He is in his late teens now and my niece had another child that I’ve never met. They live close to me . It really hurts. I felt that her son was like my own.

I didn't meet my nieces and nephews, their children and grandchildren until 27 years ago, when I met my (half) siblings. I have a cordial relationship with them and we do express love but I wouldn't say we're close. I became instantly (it seems) very close with my sister and older brother (we never used the term "half"). My other brother lived in South Jersey and we didn't stay in touch after we went down so I could meet him.

My oldest niece called me a couple of days ago and said she wants to take my sister and me to lunch down in Point Pleasant (N.J.) next week. She knows I love being near the water and has a restaurant in mind that's right at the ocean. She lives in a town about 25 minutes away, heading south. Point Pleasant is in south Jersey, so she'll wind up doing a lot of driving. I appreciate her efforts to get us together for a nice lunch.

I've one nephew and two nieces.
Since the middle 70s to date, I've seen them five times - twice when they were little kids and at three times at funerals.
They all live a long way away, and one abroad - but even if they didn't, our family is rather dysfunctional.
