Maybe I should reverse the wording. Who doesn’t have a BBQ? Watching HGTV, every man wants a grill.

When we moved here, I sold a nice one. I never enjoyed running outside and trying to co-ordinate cooking the other items inside. The only time I thought about having one was when the electricity has gone out.

We have a nice grill and I've used it a couple of times.
We do use it a lot in the summer and my wife handles the actual cooking, my job is to ensure it's clean and fired up.
(Also, sitting with a beer and giving her encouraging suggestions. ;) )

I plan the meal and prepare it, but she tends to the process.
Kabobs are our go to meal. Varying the veggies and meat.

I have a very short attention span and not trusted to watch over the cooking.

The BBQ will be sold first thing in spring. It's a good one, a Napolean but I will never use it, that was hubby's thing. and besides the one and only time I tried to use a propane BBQ it caught fire, beginners luck. Never went near one since.
I might get a little charcoal unit.

We grill frequently, year round. Well, I say “we,” but Ron is actually the Grillmeister 🧑‍🍳 I prep he cooks.

If there is a cut of meat that would do better being grilled rather than sautéed or baked then it goes on the grill. Steaks, always. Chicken sometimes depending on what I’m doing with the sides. There’s a particular cut of pork, our grocery sells them as “pork steaks” that are amazing on the grill, though I think they’re so good because ron always preps those. There’s some combination of seasonings or whatever he does that make them divine!

Plus, we use the grill a lot in the summer, when the family’s over. There’s nothing like burgers, hotdogs, and chicken on the grill for a spring/summer porch gathering!! 🍔🌭🍗

I haven't had a grill for probably ten years. Now that I live alone and don't entertain I simply don't have a use for one.

Here's the other thing. I've always thought those guys were silly that planned their entire weekends around grilling or smoking meet. I never understood the appeal.

I bought one, but due to a previous occupant who nearly started a fire, the charcoal grills are banned, but propane isn't.

I'm not interested in an outdoor grill, but I have seen cooking shows with indoor grills that don't allow smoke to get out.

We have both a propane grill and griddle. Hubs discovered the griddle last spring and he cooked dinner outside all summer. I did the prep and he cooked. We both learned a lot and had a blast. Can't wait for spring to start again!

It seems that a BBQ is almost obligatory for caravanners. From observing them, I get the impression that while most of them couldn't boil a kettle at home, they suddenly become King of the BBQ when they're on holiday :ROFLMAO: Ah, the smell of burnt sausages drifting over the campsite.

I've got a very basic BBQ that bought to hot smoke chicken and fish. Still haven't got the hang of it.
