Do you have a morning routine?

My morning routine is pretty unvarying. I get up between 5-6 am, no alarm I just wake naturally. Make my coffee, then sit with it while I persuade socials, email, read snippets of the latest news.

After that I take the dogs (and myself 😉) for a long walk. Ron makes us breakfast while I shower and dress. We eat breakfast together, I take my many supplements while I eat, then he takes care of the cleanup while I make my light lunch and an afternoon snack of fruit.

He leaves for work before me on the days he works. I take care of any work related business that I can do from home, then tend to other random bits and pieces (water the plants, prep Amazon returns, cycle the laundry…whatever needs attention that day.)

Almost ready to head out now. I gate the dogs to the dog-proof part of the house, gather my laptop bag if I’m going to need to do computer work for a client, grab my earbuds, Apple Watch , portable charger (all of which have been charging overnight,) check to make sure the stove is off, lights are off, back door is locked, then I’m off!!

It was fun relating all this!!😃 Can you tell how routine oriented I am? Lord help me if Ron is home, and interrupts me as I’m in leaving-the-house-mode! Invariably I’ll forget something!🤦‍♀️

What about you guys? What’s your morning routine?

Hm, I'm not overly aware of a routine now.

Back in ye olde days, sleep was considered as an inconvenience. Plus, I had appointments, calls, meetings, and the need to review stats. That all went away once I stopped working. Rising in those days was getting out of bed, showered, dressed, and out. I'd review the rest on the train.

Now first priority is a cup of tea with the morning round of pills that keep me going. I browse the internet etc.

Oh, and I walk the dog first thing. Damn, I love that dog.

Oh jeezus Ronni my lovely hard wrking friend...you're giving me the heeby Jeebies....:sneaky::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I have absolutely no routine aside from one... that is that every morning, I get up.. and toilet.. and into the bathroom with my eyes almost still shut, brush my teeth and shower.. then moisturise.. brush my hair and tie it up..... wander downstairs and get a cuppa tea... open all the blinds , windows and back door and that's the end of my routine.... all done in 15 minutes , from then on I go with the flow.....

I hate routine, and since I retired, I thank God I don't have to follow it any more..

Unless I have a morning appointment, I don’t set an alarm and wake up whenever I do. That can vary any time between 5–8 AM. I use the bathroom and then I get the dogs breakfast.

I pour myself a cup of coffee and the dogs and I sit on my balcony and look at my beautiful courtyard. Lately there’s been a lot of crows out there flying around and talking. That’s where the routine ends every day is different after that.

I have a routine for day beginnings and endings.

I wake between 7:30 and 8:00 (because my alarm wakes me), make my coffee and get everything set up for husband's coffee as he will wake shortly after me.

I take my coffee downstairs, exchange good morning messages with boyfriend, and check email, forums, Whatsapp. Then wash my face, put make-up on, brush and pin my hair. Usually, I go back upstairs and chat with husband a bit and then, at 10:00am, take Lucius for a walk.

After walk it's back downstairs to do my toning and stretching, then positive affirmations.

Then it's making my breakfast while chatting with husband, when he's home, while he makes a breakfast.

I take my breakfast downstairs and connect with boyfriend for a while, after eating.

EDITED: I've just realized that this thread asked for morning routines and I'd given my entire day. So I've edited that out.

Do you enjoy the company of crows? I do. :)

I find them very interesting. One morning I had the windows open while I was doing housework and I could hear a terrible ruckus. I went out on my balcony and there were probably 100 crows and they were all flying around and very animated. Something big was going on obviously
My husband had a similar experience while at work, recently. It was so cool, he sent me a video from the parking lot at work. crow-animation-poses-illustration-free-vector-100708729.jpg

Let me get this straight: Do you live with both husband and boyfriend??

I have a routine for literally everything in life. As for mornings: I wake up with no alarm, between 7 and 8 am. I go to the bathroom, then open curtains and make coffee. Drink coffee. (I used to do stretching exercises at this time, but it got too hard to stand up from the floor afterwards, so stopped that about 6 months ago.)

After coffee I make breakfast, then eat it while listening to NPR. Then my favorite part of the day: I do a crossword puzzle and play solitaire on my phone. Then I tidy up the house, shower and dress, and get on my computer.

That's the morning. Is anyone actually reading this drivel? I read everyone else's, but as you can tell I am what they call anal.

Usually shoulder (agony) wakes me up between 5-7 am (depending on how many ibuprofen I took 3 hours previously)

Drive to park, fry up breakfast (Hamburger, eggs, canned veggies) read various email news (Punchbowl, pirate wire, catholic Voice) then surf web, trade insults on fb..

My daily routine has changed a little bit since I moved last year to Canterbury Woods- Gates
I wake up around 6:40am do stretch exercises for my knees , get dressed, come down to the front lobby. There is always a copy of the local paper&NYTimes at the front desk. I take & place them on table in our library, the previous day papers put in recycling bin, then I go for my early morning walk
When I come back, use my fob to get back in, go to the cafe take an apple or orange, sometimes an English muffin{ all free}come back to my apt. I stretch again, then turn on my Bose radio to listen to classical music station, decide what to have for breakfast, turn on my laptop, ck my emails, then come here

@Medusa, I am aware, but not everyone would or does just post it without explanation on an almost anonymous discussion board. I've done many things I never talk about here, even some of my dreams!
Hi, Marcy :)

If I explained my polyamory every time I mentioned it, my posts would be long and redundant as it is my life and so comes up frequently. ;)

I'm sure I've done things I wouldn't talk about here too, but my polyamory definitely isn't one of them. I have no trouble talking about it as it is nothing I need to hide. I am not embarrassed by or in any way ashamed of my life and I wouldn't disrespect my partners by trying to hide them.

I think that's probably true of most polyamorous people as one of the first and most important tenets is honesty and openness among all partners and that naturally, I think, extends into wider life.

Hope this clears things up. :) Sending you peace and warmth. ❤️🤗
