Do you have a routine during any part of the day that you don't like to have interrupted?

MarciKS

aka Fritz
I have a morning routine that I don't like not being able to follow through on. Tend to be cranky if I'm not able to sit and enjoy my coffee and peruse the internet before work. It relaxes me.

I like to read the online local paper and hit my chat forums. I get up and open the front door and peek out just to see what's going on before I toodle into the kitchen for my coffee.

First thing I hafta email father so he knows I'm ok. Ever since we lost mother he and I hafta have some form of contact twice a day so he knows I'm not dead.

If there's nothing going on in the forums I will sometimes play a little Stardew Valley. Nothing like doing a little farming before work. :ROFLMAO:

Morning.. I hesitate to say routine, cuz I'm allergic to routine.. but yes mornings. I like to do pretty much the same as you with the exception of your father... :D..and no online games... but I do have a set routine.. shower, etc.. then sit and read my mail and read the papers online with hot cuppa tea and take vits..... ..then I like to pay whatever bills need seeing to.. before I consider what's going to be the next stage in the day... so I don't want to be disturbed during that hour or 2...

In many ways I'm a creature of habit (but gets bored easily) so like my routine, but can be flexible. But there are two things I will not compromise on, breakfast and dinner time.

I need to eat soon after I get up(usually up around 5AM) if I miss that I feel like crap the entire day.

Dinner is never later than 5PM, any later I don't sleep well. It's been several years since I have met any friends for dinner because they always want to meet at 6/7 o'clock.

Oh, the sheer bliss, when I withdraw to my marble chamber, and sit regally on my throne, to listen to old cassette tapes whilst contemplating what I need to do to make the world a better place, then, after 10 minutes I have to vacate the place or put a peg on my nose. 😊

A few routines like that. I'm the dishwasher, and I don't like to be distracted from the task... I like to get the job done. If I'm working in the garden, I like to focus. (A building or repair project can be the same.) As well, if I'm reading I'm focussed... same if I'm writing something over about 75-words in length.

Sleep!
I hate it when its interrupted now that I'm retired.
Prior to retirement, I was on call 24/7/365.
Disasters happening all over the world, if a company I was working with was impacted, I was up, many times for 24/36 hours.
When money stops moving around the globe, following the sun, its all hands on deck!
I can't tell you how much happens that never, never makes the news outlets. Thank God!
Yes, straight through sleep is such an awesome thing.

Nowadays, it's much quieter. No more wrong door knockings since we've put up wee sign in door. Thankful for that as I hate being woken up when I'm in deep sleep.

My routine for the past 18 months has been the same. I share this routine with CoffeeBean, my kitty kat.

He wakes me up with a face full of kisses. Then, he jumps off and goes for his business. Then he accompanies me in the loo.

I come back to bed and do my 50 stretches. Then I catch up on YouTube videos. Then round 9:30, kitty and me goes to Living room where I deposit my day's items.

Kitchen next, fresh breakfast for kitty, picking up orange juice for myself and then get my cup of coffee made. Then fun begins, one day dishwashing, with kitty kat sitting on sink's lip watching the soap bubbling while sink's filling up.

Try to wash dishes with a cat so near water, near impossible but do much fun. Afterwards, sitting in front of TV with kitty at my feet, we're watching BBC News on 502.

10 or 11, depending if we're going shopping, I go get dressed, waking daughter and then it's according to our chosen schedule for that day. Back around 1pm and that's morning done...
