Do you have a routine during any part of the day that you don't like to have interrupted?

When I was in my 20s, the thought of having a 'routine'- OMG !!!!! NO WAY.
Now, I try to figure out how to eliminate steps in my breakfast routine. I can have two eggs, sausage, toast and coffee, eaten and all in the dishwasher in 30 minutes. If I don't do this routine, the rest of the day isn't worth living. It's totally shot.
My 20 year old self would have never thought I'd have such a routine. He would have sworn on a stack that it would never happen.

Sleep!
I hate it when its interrupted now that I'm retired.
Prior to retirement, I was on call 24/7/365.
Disasters happening all over the world, if a company I was working with was impacted, I was up, many times for 24/36 hours.
When money stops moving around the globe, following the sun, its all hands on deck!
I can't tell you how much happens that never, never makes the news outlets. Thank God!
Yes, straight through sleep is such an awesome thing.
Agree. Sleep is a routine I hate getting interrupted in or if I can't get into it. I am surprised that so many others here apparently don't mind being interrupted in sleep since so few mention it.

I am very surprised by this thread at how many in the UK drink coffee. I always thought tea was the preferred drink. What happened to the tea - habit? Or is tea only important in the old movie era. UK, I thought I knew you.
Tea is for when one needs comfort.

I can relate to being on-call 24/7/365, I worked for either financial institutions or hospitals.

Now, I don't like my routine of reading before dinner to be interrupted.

Usually up by 3 a.m. and turn on CNBC.
Only own a few Stocks, but the programs tells me what's going on in the 'World' better than
the usual News outlets.

Favorite is 'Squawk Box' with Joe Jernen, Becky Quick and Andrew Sorkin.

After this program, I put on my Headphones and listen to music.

No , tea is very much still the top most consumed drink in the UK.... but coffee is a favourite too... just not drunk as often as tea...

Around 4:30pm to 6pm I start getting all my medications ready for that night and the next day. I make the coffee for the next day; get my diabetic supplies ready to take that night's blood work. I do a lot for the next day. My only interruption is that my son usually calls on his way home from work.

Lately, my best friend has been calling me at that time. So, I tell her I really can't talk at this time for the above reasons, and to call me at this time only if she has some emergency, which of course I would drop everything for.

Yet, she persists. She must be getting old. Or she's trying to wear me down for her own selfish purposes. I'm kidding on that.
