Only kidding ( darkly) about spellings, two nations divided by one language..... And all that !![]()
I definitely tend towards sick and twisted.....but I rarely show that side to anyone but my wife and son.
Several years ago my wife and I took a trip up to Bar Harbor, ME. If you've never been to the national park, it's a great place to visit, a real gem. Anyway, we were exploring one of the more remote parts of the park that included a walk down a steep through the woods on a trail to the water. Ours was the only car in the parking lot given that it was off season. On the way back up the trail, we came upon a small family, one of whom was trying to her best to negotiate the trail with crutches. They had made great progress and were probably only 2 minutes from beautiful view. As we passed them I casually mentioned that the area was closed and let that register with them for a few seconds before they realized I was kidding, and telling them that their efforts would be well rewarded. Definitely let my twisted side out on that day. My wife still brings it up.
To me dry or sarcastic humor isn't twisted or sick. I am not what my version of twisted and sick is. I don't care for gross humor either. Here is an example of sick humor, which I don't think is funny. Someone posted a photo of a real man who had his butt shot off, I mean it was GONE and I think the man was dead. The caption was something like "He laughed his ass off".
Bobw235's humor was VERY FUNNY and I guess it's not what I would call twisted or sick. I think my head has been so far down the cesspool I don't know what twisted and sick is anymore.
