Do you have a small souvenir that you won't get rid of?

Do you have a small souvenir/collectable that has great meaning to you, and you won't part with it?
Mine are a plaster Big Ben Tower and a metal Eiffel Tower, both smaller than my thumb. I got them years ago in London & Paris.
Both cost me mere change. Eiffel cost me 39 francs as per the price sticker. I'd never give them up.

I don't know if this counts as a souvenir, but this little dove on a gold ring came from my parents wedding favors. They had a home wedding and my Grandma and family did all the decorating and made all the favors a few nights before. The little birds were tied on each party favor. I have it displayed in a shadow box with otherWedding favor (800x600).jpg small items that have meaning to me.

Our place is full of souvenirs, some are family items, others are from trips we have taken. An inventory would fill a whole page, and they remind us of fun things in times gone by. We will leave them for the kids to sort out when that time comes. Some they already have said they want.

My apartment is full of sentimental objects, at the exact moment I croak it will all be transformed into stuff that will eventually end up in a dumpster or at the Goodwill.

I have an Afrika Corps Kaneradenschaft lapel badge presented to me nearly 40 years ago by some real and beguine Afrika Corps veterans.

I wear it along with my medals and British Veterans' badge on Armed Forces and Remembrance days.

I have a small plastic plaque given to me by my first grade teacher. I've kept it with me all these years. I thought she was the most wonderful creature, because she taught me to READ and it changed my whole world! Her name was Miss Mortenson and it seemed like she was about 100 years old.

I save a lot of things , just for the memories they bring back. One thing I really treasure is my Husband's senior high school pin. It was the year we met and started dating. Any boy in his class had to design a pin for the seniors to wear. His drawing won and the school made the pins for the whole class. My Grandchildren love it and all through their school years they asked my Husband their Gramps to help them do any project that involved drawing. When my one grandson was a senior and running for class President ,my Husband helped him draw a campaign poster. He won and became class President. I also saved his Poster.
