Do you have any plans or resolutions for 2026?

I have a couple.
I'm going to clean my desk. Now that I have these things...

... I can get organized! 🤣

I'm also going to take more photos with my phone. I ordered a bluetooth remote shutter trigger from Amazon, which will make it easier. That's one thing that's been making me not like to take photos... I had trouble finding the shutter button in the daylight and also holding the phone steady while pressing the button. The remote trigger should solve that.

Ya know...the cliche-ish "eat healthier", "lose weight" and "get more exercise". But in this case I really need to do those things pronto if I want the outfit I'm wearing to my son's wedding (in 4-1/2 weeks) to fit properly.

Also, I've decided to release singles going forward instead of waiting to release another album. So I've got to get back to working on the songs as well as paying more attention to the business side. In addition, I'm going to learn to use the Studio One digital music program my son purchased for me a few months ago. It should be similar to Logic which I used in the past.

@OneEyedDiva ... Here's what AI tells me. I had to ask because I know nothing about the programs or music. You are blessed ma'am

Here’s a clear comparison between Studio One and Logic Pro — two popular digital audio workstations (DAWs) used for composing, recording, editing, mixing, and producing music.

🎛️ Overview

Logic Pro
  • Made by Apple and widely used in professional and home studios. Wikipedia
  • Excellent all‑in‑one DAW with a deep set of tools for MIDI, audio, effects, and virtual instruments. Wikipedia
  • Known for a large built‑in sound/loop library and strong composition tools. Wikipedia
  • Works only on macOS and iPadOS. Wikipedia

Studio One
  • Made by PreSonus and available on Windows and macOS. Wikipedia
  • Modern, intuitive workflow designed around drag‑and‑drop and fast editing. PreSonus
  • Great all‑purpose DAW for recording, mixing, mastering, and producing. Wikipedia

🧠 Key Differences

🎹 Workflow & Ease of Use

  • Studio One has a single‑window, drag‑and‑drop workflow that many users find intuitive, especially for arranging and routing tracks. PreSonus
  • Logic Pro offers a more traditional DAW layout with powerful tools but can feel more complex — especially for beginners. Wikipedia
Winner (Ease): Studio One for beginners; Logic for deeper toolset once learned.

💻 Platform Support

  • Logic Pro runs only on macOS/iPadOS (Apple ecosystem). Wikipedia
  • Studio One runs on Windows and macOS — great for PC users. Wikipedia
Winner (Flexibility): Studio One

🎧 Features & Editing

  • Logic Pro is especially strong in MIDI composition, scoring, and built‑in instruments/effects. Wikipedia
  • Studio One offers powerful audio editing, easy comping, and solid workflow tools like Arranger Track and drag‑and‑drop processing. PreSonus
Both are fully capable DAWs; the best choice depends on whether you lean more toward MIDI composing (Logic) or quick workflow/audio editing (Studio One).

💡 Built‑In Content & Instruments

  • Logic Pro includes a huge content library of Apple Loops and instruments included in the base price. Wikipedia
  • Studio One also provides lots of instruments and effects, but many advanced sounds or expansions are part of higher license tiers or purchases. PreSonus
Winner (Content Value): Logic Pro

💲 Pricing

  • Logic Pro is typically a one‑time purchase (~$199) with free updates from Apple. Wikipedia
  • Studio One offers versions from Artist to Professional — often with a higher one‑time cost (Pro) and optional subscription plans (PreSonus Sphere). PreSonus+1
Winner (Cost Value): Logic Pro (especially for Mac users)

🧰 What People Tend to Prefer

Choose Logic Pro if you want:
  • Deep MIDI composition and scoring tools. Wikipedia
  • Massive built‑in sound libraries already included. Wikipedia

Thank you so much for taking the time to research this for me Naturally. So sweet ❣️ My son agrees with the above assessment that Studio One makes for an easier work flow. He also has Logic, which he got a couple of years ago and that's what we used to mix and master my last album after he transferred the tracks from my instrument into the program. He really hated the transferring part, so one of the first things I want to learn to do is transfer my tracks into Studio One myself.

I got my Logic program in 2009 and actually took a year of one on one tutoring at the Apple store on how to use the program. I did some arranging and mixing in Logic. At that time my songs were transferred using a floppy disk reader. Eventually the program crashed and I lost several tracks. I got discouraged and didn't release another album for years.

Now that both my son and Honorary Son #3 want me to work on their music projects and both use DAWs (HS#3 has the latest version of Logic), I'm more open to and interested in working in Studio One. However, I've told them both that my preference will always be composing and arranging using my instrument.

In 2026, I want to be a bit better than I was in 2025.

Be more mindful of my choices.

Continue shedding stuff, weight, people, etc…

Plug a few leaks in my budget.

Thinking about a move or at least being better prepared should the opportunity/need arise.

Pretty much just continue living a comfortable, peace filled, stress free life, with few surprises, and very little drama.

RESOLUTIONS? SLEEP MORE AND CARE LESS.
