Do You Have Anything Autographed By A Famous Person ??

I do not.

Only autographed thing I have is a baseball that belonged to my dad. In 1941 there was a local Class B baseball farm team affiliated with the Washington Senators and in the Southeastern League ... The Selma Cloverleafs. My dad had each team member sign the baseball. But none of them were ever famous. My dad was an 11yrs old in 1941 and a young fan of the Cloverleafs.

I have a gardening book with an article about Reg Livermore, a famous entertainer here in Australia, I'm sure most of the Aussies here on the Forum would know of him. He came to our house to do a photo shoot for the program "Burke's Backyard". Anyway, the cast and crew stayed on for breakfast and he signed my book for me.

Yes, when my son was young, I took him to see The Magic Show (Doug Henning) on Broadway. As we were walking after the show, we saw Chaka Khan, who is my favorite female singer. She graciously autographed my playbill. After a Maze f/Frankie Beverly concert, we waited patiently outside the back entrance for them to come out. I didn't get Frankie's signature (may he R.I.P.), but got bassist Robin Duhe's signature.

And even better, after I ordered a Mandrill concert DVD directly from their web store, I got a very nice handwritten note thanking me for the purchase, signed by my favorite band member, Dr. Ric Wilson (he's a cardiologist). Besides being so talented, I always though he was fine.

When I was eleven years old, my best friend went to California with his family on vacation, he met Jayne Mansfield while she was working on a set, and got an autograph for himself and one for me. She didn't just write her name, but addressed a heartwarming message to me. I thought it was nifty, but I have no idea what became of it. My parents may have thrown it out. They were like that.

Just heard Chaka Khan singing "I Feel For You" on the radio yesterday, with Stevie Wonder on harmonica. What a great song (and singer)!
