Do you have guests very often?

It seems like every month, or sometimes more often, we have guests, sometimes family, sometimes friends. We have a guest room and a guest bathroom which is nice. We also have an inflatable queen mattress which we've set up in our living room (it's amazingly comfortable!!!) for more than a couple of people, plus a couple of very comfortable couches, so we're able to host a bunch of guests!!

This weekend we're hosting Vince and Laurie, Ron's friends from upstate NY who have becomes very dear to me. I consider Laurie one of my besties!

A couple of weeks ago one of Ron's daughters from his first marriage stayed with us for an overnight visit. The week before that another of his daughters and her husband stayed with us Saturday night because they live quite far out of town so it's easier for them to come hang here for the night when they have something in town that they want to go to.

My son stayed overnight before that. One of our friends had a daughter and her BF in town, and they stayed over. Before that it was one of my friends and her husband, they visited for a weekend.

I love these visits with family and friends! I enjoy the diversity of conversation and perspective, I love to cook for everyone, I thrive on the hostessing functions, I get such a kick out of the visits!

How about you? Do you have frequent guests? Do you enjoy it?

ALSO.....if ANY OF YOU would like to plan a trip to Nashville TN, or need a pit stop on the way to wherever, I would really enjoy hosting you!! So keep that in mind, 'kay??? 💕

We've had quite a few people to our house for drinks and noshing, but we rarely have guests that stay overnight. We have a 3 bedroom house, and one bedroom is my office. My husband and I sleep in separate bedrooms because we both snore. My office has a pull-out couch, so one of us could sleep on it, but it isn't ideal.

I've heard great things about Nashville, so I may take you up on your offer! ;)

I haven't had many guests since I married my husband. I was shocked when I discovered that he didn't like it when people visited us, unless they were connected with his business in some way.

All through our "courtship", he was well aware that I love to give large dinner parties, regular parties, go out with groups of friends, etc. He never said a word. There was a big red flag, but of course I didn't recognize it. We had a couple over for dinner before we got married, and he thought they were boring, and acted like that in front of them, too.

Covid didn't help the guest list when I moved out.

My cousin is like me -- the more, the merrier.

@dseag2 let me know when you plan to be in town!! I’d love to meet you and your husband and you’re both welcome to stay!

I used to have guests coming all the time, they drove me nuts, so, after accidentally locking them in the shed a few times, or accidentally on purpose giving them a drenching with the hose pipe, somehow, mysteriously, they stopped coming. 😊

Small space in my apt., so only have had maybe five or so people come at one time ever ...usually my visiting kids, and not overnight.
Grandkids spend weekends with me at times, but even they come one at a time for visits.

My dog gets so excited and happy whenever anyone comes to visit -- even the building Maintenance Mgr. :giggle:

We have son and DIL about 4 times a year for a few days. We usually have a great time doing mostly "nothing"...lol. When they suggested they bring "all the kids" down to stay, thought hub would almost swallow his cigar. Now we have a big house, but having 4 grandkids - a couple spouses, and 4 more great grand kids staying with us for a few days would be way way too much. Have had the grandkids over the years, but not normally all at one time.

Told them it would be ok for one kid at a time to come...lol.

Maybe, plan it for a week when you and hub will be out of town. 🤔😉🤭
