Do You Just Sit Outside for a While Now and Then?

I often have brunch on the patio when it's not too hot and humid. Sometimes in the evening I'll sit out and enjoy a cocktail and, after dinner, a cup of coffee. Winter is long, so I like to take advantage of fair weather when I can.

Sitting on our back porch right now sipping my coffee and browsing my socials. It’s going to be 95 today so I won’t be out here much longer but at the moment it’s pleasant.

We back porch sit every morning until it gets too cold.

Yes, every day, but I don’t sit for long… I find I don’t sit still very well. I’ll see something that needs to be done, or grabs my attention, and hop right back up to attend to it. But, earlier this year I read something about creating a “Sit Spot”. A place you return to each day to observe nature.

I created a Sit Spot for myself and it’s become my favorite place in the back yard. It’s in a corner of the yard that I hadn’t liked before (when I bought my house 3+ years ago, on half acre, it had nothing in the back yard. Not one bush, flower, nothing… just mowed down grass. I’ve been turning it into my own garden/nature paradise, with a near-zero budget!)

I do quite often. It was part of my plan when I got too old to enjoy that physical parts of Montana that I enjoyed so much. Sit on the porch watching the wild life. But I don't have a shotgun in my lap waiting for the nosy gummament officials to trespass on my property.

During warm weather I once sat on the back patio before dawn after my workout. I still do my patio workout, but after getting a spider bite on my right breast, I dispensed with the sitting.

I was reading this morning that a scorpion sting on the breast, can prevent breast cancer. I have yet to confirm that spider venom has the same properties. My husband read that a bumblebee sting on the prostate can kill prostate cancer cells. What kind of men volunteered for that study?

I mean it is scorpions for woman and bumblebees for men. Once again men get off easy. If there is any truth to these studies, I think we will see old folks, exposing certain body areas, porch sitting, enticing venomous insects to bite target areas. Not a pretty picture, but neither is chemo.

I think I will go out and enjoy the cool morning air and sunrise on my back patio. First, I will deweb my chair and then refresh my coffee. Living a full life means taking risk. I could put on more protective clothes, but that not only ruins the experience, it is cowardly. :ROFLMAO:
