PDA means public displays of affection. I was reading some man's profile on a dating site and saw that he is very much into PDA. Says he will pull the woman aside to kiss her deeply and all that. I'm not one for PDA aside from maybe kissing in the car but that is it. What are your thoughts on PDA?

There are varying degrees of PDA and I think my comfort level depends where, when and how much. I don't want to be at a nice restaurant with a couple mauling each other. I love to see older couples holding hands. To me, that's one of the sweetest images.

The Missus and I are touchy feely. We hold hands, we stand with our arms around each other, we bump together when we walk, I'll smack her butt once in a while or she mine, and we will exchange a quick kiss or two. We do not swap spit or engage in petting in public, although 30 years ago it may have been a different story. There was a lot of outdoor sex, but it wasn't public.,(I hope)

It's more evident @ conveyance venues (Airports, train depots, cruise ship docks etc.) where peeps are
welcoming or bidding farewell to loved ones or close friends. And it's OK with me as long as the bodily contact

I agree. It depends on how ardent the affection is. My wife and I never left or greeted each other without a kiss, even if just for an hour or so, and that was normal for us.
On the other hand, we once indulged (well more than once actually, you know how it is!) in some al fresco sex during a Sunday afternoon walk (don't blame me, she started it, and we'd been married twenty years!), thinking we were out of sight, bus went past!
I wouldn't normally display that much affection in public!

One time I was on the river with my sweetheart. We were in our early 40s, and about it get it on. We thought we were hidden in the bushes. Here comes a fisherman. It was embarrassing. We were more careful after that.
