Do you like slapstick comedy?

When I was young, there was so much comedy I didn't care for. I didn't like slapstick, especially physical comedy.

I didn't like the 3 stooges or Lucille Ball or Carol Burnett or Jerry Lewis.

That was a lot of what was showing as comedy at the time. I loved to laugh and laughed a lot, but felt my sense of comedy didn't match the comedy of the time.

Do you like slapstick comedy or can you relate to my situation when I was growing up?

I love "Laurel and Hardy." I dislike "The three Stooges". I love "I Love Lucy" and "The Carol Burnett Show". I think I don't like slapstick but then I think that Slap Stick is a lot of times part of situation comedies. I'm more interested in having something tickle my funny bone than bones being tossed around the room.

Oh, God, I love slapstick! I can't even think about the banana peel without seriously worrying about my hernia.
There are not enough banana peels in the world for me. And, helpful tip, did you know you can polish your shoes with them?
This gift of physical comedy was received courtesy of DebraMae. I am forever grateful.

It never occurred to me that Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett were considered slapstick. I adore both I Love Lucy and The Carol Burnett Show; however, I've never cottoned to The Three Stooges or Laurel and Hardy. So I'm not sure where I stand!

Loved Lucy and Carol Burnette. Like @KSav I didn't think either of them were considered "Slapstick" either. Never could stand The Three Stooges. I guess I can say that in general, I don't care for Slapstick.
