I love the music of Richard and Karen. Oh ! how I miss Karen with her melodious angelic voice and how she interprets songs. I know most of her songs by heart. I'm sad, Karen's gone too soon.

I tried to share one of her YT videos but failed :(

I've always loved the Carpenter's music. Especially Karen's voice. When CD's first came out & I got my first CD player in 1980, the first CD I bought was "The Carpenters Greatest Hits." When I first played it, I yelled, "Yeah.....no crackling & popping noise to interfere with Karen's voice like records have!"
 
I loved the Carpenters back in the 70's when they were very popular,had most of their albums
I saw them when they came to Buffalo at the old Memorial Aud.My mom came with me,our seats weren't bad, I could see&hear them
 
I like a few of their performances but Karen used a bit too much vibrato in her singing for my taste. She had a lovely voice and I love the notes she holds without vibrato.

I do love some of the songs the Carpenters wrote, but I prefer the covers of them more than the originals. Here's my favorite Carpenters song cover:

 
I have to agree , I was never a Carpenters fan... but I did like some of the songs.. Jambalya, Please mr Postman .. and a couple of others, but I prefer them sung by other people . However Karen Carpenter did die far too young, obviously some demons that she couldn't be rid of... very sad for anyone to die like that when they seem to the outside world as tho' they have everything

Had several girlfriends that liked 'em……….and played their music incessantly

Guess that's why they ended up at my place
(my music....heh heh)
Amazing how a bit of Led Zeppelin can git rid of the memory of that whine
