Do you like your middle name?

I dislike my middle name, which is actually “Rick,” not “Richard.” That fact has caused me some difficulties over the years, plus my parents always chose to address me by my middle name rather than my first which I share with my father to avoid confusing me with him. I began using my first name as soon as I was out of my parent’s household, using just a middle initial on documents when required.

Now Fox Mulder…that guy had a first name I envy! Too bad my parents weren’t cool people…
 

Yes, I like it! It is the same as my father's first name. What I hate is my actual name....

I wish I had used my middle name as my 'first' name. Would have been confusing when I was a kid, same as dads, but that would have been better than using my first name...
 
They should give parents lessons in naming children the wrong choice can make kid's names an absolute nightmare in school. My true name flows with my middle name, I have Ricky as my first name and it was fine before I entered school. After the first week of being chided and bullied over that damnable y we parted company and my middle name didn't fit any longer, so I just used the L it started with, which worked fine until all the government correspondence began coming, and there was that Y again.
Now, I'm correcting people all the time Rick please.
