Do you line up outside stores that are having a sale?

Used to go to Midnight Madness Sales in the 60's/70's. Don't remember ever getting bargains or anything worthwhile.
I went to those in the 70s. They were fun because we were young.

Robsons used to be a high end shoe in Vancouver. You had to line up to even look. It was a one on one with the salesperson. They followed you around making suggestions. A friend did this for years and made a very good commission. I went there because they carried very small sizes, usually Italian made. At some point they gave up this selling style, opened up more stores and then closed for good.

My older brother used to do the 4 AM wait in line thing for Black Friday sales. He got some good stuff cheap, but you had to run to grab stuff. He got a new printer for $5 as advertised, but they only had 8, and hundreds of people waiting outside the door.

There is absolutely nothing I need that badly...
