Do you mind having Birthdays?

I'm guessing you mean do we mind celebrating our birthdays, because without having birthdays we would no longer be here.

As far as celebrating my birthdays, I don't care for it anymore.

Sure

Especially the decade ones

10th: my BB gun

20th: Get sloshed with my buds

30th: Go fishing with my boys

40th: Go fishing with my daughter

50th: I should know something by now

60th: Whew, made it

70th: Damn, I don’t feel that old

Come on 80th!

Or the alternative......

You bet I still like birthdays.

Birthday cards,
Birthday gifts
Birthday cake
Birthday dinner
Birthday flowers
Birthday candies

Whats not to like?

Im not really that spoiled but like to think so.

I'm with you...especially the flowers, or maybe the dinner...it's a toss up.

You can do it Gary.....

A card, dinner & flowers with the man I love is always perfect.
Speaking of man, he’s really good at this. Im a very lucky woman.

My man bought me a new rod and reel for HIS birthday....:lofl:

I used it today and it is the bomb. Have a mess of bream for dinner tomorrow...

This is the kind of thing my guy would do.
What a sweetheart. Will he cook them for you too? :lofl:
Wish Mr. Seeker a happy birthday for me please :happybday:

I don't mind birthdays, but have not celebrated for decades. Ok, get out the violins. :sentimental: I did somewhat celebrate until my mom got dementia and didn't phone every year to remind me I was born at high noon. Wife gets me a card, but that's it.

That’s a fine man but you already know that.
I have never heard of bream so had to look that up.
Thats a nice size fish. What does ‘bream went on the bed’ mean? That they were in season and plentiful?
My husband bought me a pink fishing pole one year. I haven’t caught anything with it but it looks pretty.
Years ago we did have fun fishing together. We caught little sun fish and I think rainbow trout. Then we cooked them on the fire and they were delicious. Have you eaten catfish before?

I don't mind birthdays at all, although I don't have a big celebration on that day.

They make beds to lay their eggs in and they hover over the bed..So they are in wads and the males stay close by, they are the big ones.

My NC daughter plans and pays for 3 day weekends in locations that are fun and filled with events and fine foods so there's no way I could possibly not look forward to them. She showers me with love and spoils me.

I do not mind having birthdays. Beats the alternative. That being said, I do not relish "celebrating" them. I just never liked the fuss over having survived another year.

Growing up I always had a nice family gathering for my birthday. I was born in July so it was a perfect time for everyone to get together for a picnic as well. As an adult I didn't care one way or another until 8 years ago when I got a very special birthday gift. My Grandson was born on my birthday. Since then we celebrate our special day together. We do a kids thing, like going to a water park but we have a lot of fun.

My birthday is now tinged with melancholy that keeps me from celebrating it, to a great extent: My Mom always called me to wish me a Happy Birthday. One year, she didn't, and I decided I'd call her the next day to see what was going on. At 6:30 AM, that next day, I received a call from my niece informing me that my Mom had passed away at 6 AM. Now, I always light a candle for her on the day after my birthday, and say Kaddish. It is not a happy time, for me.

I would rather have birthdays than not have them. In another 15 years I will be 100.

For my 70th birthday, I had my knee replaced.

The old lady said: "After 80, any birthday that you are not under a tombstone is a milestone".
