Do you miss not being able to check out the other members of the forum?

Before the last upgrade, we were able to see what members said about themselves in their bios. You could put as much or none of your personal info. And yeah, it was nice to snoop. The reason I mention this is, I posted a message about how relatively quiet my winter was. I don't have any snow, and it's Feb. The person, who posted above me had two feet of snow on his car. I clicked on his bio to see where he was from. Yup, there was nothing. where he was from. I dunno. Would you mind if there was more voluntary info on the bios.? And you could access that info.

I would just like the location (state, not necessarily city) and the person's age underneath their avatar. Mainly to better to understand their attitude about life and/or death, and to know why their weather is as they say (hot or cold). Of course, not everyone wants to divulge that info, and that is okay, too.

Your cornfusing me. The location is displayed, if the user wishes it to be shown.

I've done this too several times. Guess people aren't as willing to give out personal info anymore. It is disappointing sometimes. It's hard to remember who someone is from just posts.

Yeah, not all of them show it, I don't see the harm in it, but to each his own. Like if they said they got a ''mountain of snow", I always get curious where they live (if they don't show it). Like where I live, it only snows for one day about every five years. LOL

When I first joined, it took me a long time before I filled out my ''About". Then I relaxed and filled it out.

It's important to know where people live, as it's surprising how different we all are. The Americans and British feel close connections but there are still huge differences between us.
Interesting. I see the exact opposite: No matter where we are from, our commonality of experiences, as humans on Planet Earth, comes shining through in this forum.
