Do you pay early??

I pay online about a week before it’s due. Most bills are on auto pay but bills that vary I want to check the statements. I did sign up for a minimum payment to my cards automatically in case I am in a coma:)).

USPS is taking longer and longer these days. I pay bills within 3-4 days of their arrival. I used to hold them and ended up with occasional late charges. Even one is too many, the bank makes enough $$$$$$$$ off our float, no need to give them another $50 when we have more than enough to cover any checks.

I do not use autopay except for utilities. We are very careful to check our credit card statements to ensure no fraudulent charges have snuck in.

Ken all of my payments are set to auto pay (by the card companies) on the date the payments are due or maybe a day earlier. This way I'm never late and if I should become incapacitated, my son doesn't have to worry about figuring out what needs to be paid and when. I also pay the entire statement balances each month. The exception was when we opened a new account at Micro Center when my son got his laptop. It's under Wells Fargo and the statement date wasn't shown for a week or so. To be safe, I set the payment up for what turned out to be a couple of weeks earlier than it was due.

Yeah, same here
Reason being it comes due 21 days after transactions, not 30
and I'm too lazy to inquire about autopay due dates with them

So, I camp on it til I see it show up on the acct, then pay it

I don't use it much
Maybe once ever six months
I only keep it for the credit rating
All our bills/purchases over $50 are paid with CC..taking advantage of cash back. We pay the total before the due date.

I clear as much as I can each month. Soon as my pension comes in I prioritise the credit card, keeping it as low as I can. We only have one credit card each and use it for all incidentals and for the weekly shopping.
I do have a direct debit to pay the minimum amount each month, so I can never be late. I think this is very important because you never know if you might be ill in hospital or something and unable to access your online banking.
All our bills are on direct debit.

I have some bills set up to pay automatically by CC. On one I forgot to update the CC date of expiry and ended up having a late fee. Grrr.

Yes I do. When I owned that house, I'd pay my taxes in 2 increments but I'd mail it in the first month and then the next month. All done for the year. Once something is paid, I can forget about it.

Another story from my happy childhood: I can remember my mother going to the court house to pay her taxes the day they were due in person because "they aren't getting my money a day early." Cut the crap. It was ridiculous.

I’m too cheap to pay late charges, so I make sure to pay early. I won’t let those tight fisted bankers get one penny from me I don’t have to give them.
