Do you people watch?

I watch people a lot - and I photograph them. Social Documentary or Street Photography.

A few examples :)

That reminded me of the lady who was ticked off about two firemen (in uniform, with their firetruck parked in the lot). She was complaining that they shouldn't be doing their grocery shopping while they were on duty.

Someone told her that they were buying for the station and she asked why they would be buying groceries for the station.

She didn't realize that firemen are on duty for long shifts, a couple of days at a time, and eat, sleep, shower, etc at the firehouse. When she was enlightened, she still wasn't happy.
It's stunning how some people just refuse to accept that they're wrong. But it gives me a warm feeling to know I'm one of the lucky people who don't have to live with them.

I've noted guys alone seem to park beside each other out in the mostly empty Waldo World parking lot area.
Haven't noticed women doing it though.

Those shadow people in the picture above, it's our multi dimensional world. ... :ROFLMAO: ...

What the hecks wrong with Pigeon Crap guy!

I do watch people whenever the opportunity occurs. I find it most entertaining; people are funny.

I get this from my parents. As a kid, growing up in a small town at times my parents had nothing to do in the evenings. So, they would load us up in the car and drive downtown and park (we had 45-degree parking throughout the downtown area). We would simply set and watch the people. It was then that I learned to watch people. I don't go looking for it as my parents did, but when I am somewhere that has people going by, I will watch them, time permitting. Again, I find it very interesting to watch people...

I usually don't watch others too closely, except when we're at a store. It seems that everywhere we go, there is some Clown blocking the aisle with their cart while they are yakking on their cell phone.

And, this morning we made our weekly Walmart stop, and there were two people who would fit right in on the "people of Walmart" web site. It looked like they had just got out of bed and were still wearing their pajamas.

I particularly enjoy sizing up the contents of people’s grocery trolleys.
I was buying all those cookies for my grandchildren!

I walk through the grocery parking lots looking in car windows for the dogs, so I see a lot of men in cars, too. Maybe I'm naive, but I always just think they're waiting for their wives. Lots of men hate shopping and get cart-rage over blocked aisles or people like me reading labels.

Mom always told me that Grandpa would drop her & Grandma off to shop downtown. He'd stay in the car & watch people. He passed before I was born, but I think I got his people watching gene.

Watching people in person while out & about is better than any reality shows. It's also amusing to hear some of the conversations they have with one another which is loud enough for everyone in the vicinity to hear.

I would think you were acting suspiciously - someone looking for something to steal. I might even be tempted to report you.

And some wives hate having their spouse along. He keeps wanting me to hurry up. I send him for his afternoon walk and then when he arrives back, it’s hurry up time.

Not one to purposely plan on watching other people. Like I don't go to places where many others are passing by just to watch though might if unplanned am forced to spend some time before waiting for some event or activity to start. For example at a music venue waiting in an entrance gate line. I am one that enjoys being in large crowds.

That noted, I will always hopelessly enjoy watching attractive women, especially their pretty faces. And also watching small children play, always brings me a smile.

No. l sure wouldn't want a random person watching me. Why should they want me watching them? Be careful. There's always some loony out there looking for an excuse to punch someone in the nose.

I used to people watch a lot when my kids were younger. First at the playground, and then later at the mall, when I would sit while they shopped. (because they were too young to drive, but also too cool to be seen with their dad.)

This will seem weird to some, but you know what I used to look at? People's shoes. I would always wonder why they chose that particular color or style or whatever. Fascinating.

I don't think of myself as a people watcher, but I am constantly very aware of my surroundings, especially on parking lots. And, if I see someone sitting alone in their car when I'm arriving on the parking lot, I drive on past and park somewhere else.
