I never read the book but I understand the ending is very sad. I'm not sure I want to sit there sobbing. Are you going to watch the movie?

I am curious what Harrison Ford is gonna do with the role. He’s the oldest to play JohnThornton so far at 77. The other actors who were in that role were Gable, 34, Heston 48 and Rutger Hauer 52.

Jack London was only six months in the Alaskan gold fields, but he sure made good use of the experience with many books written about it. "The Call of the Wild" was one of my favorites.

I will watch at home on tv when it comes available. It is sad (to me) that they can't use a 'real' dog. I really like Harrison Ford though.
