Build Snowman? I still would do this with the grandkids. But it needs to be above freezing.

Ice Fishing? (y)(y)(y)
Skiing? o_Oo_O
Sledding? I might still foolishly try this
Igloo Building? I tell you, if I had the chance to take part in this, I might like it.

Now winter activities, I'm from Quebec originally. Used to love cross country skiing, ice skating. When I was younger, loved summer activities too. Now that I'm older, and the summers are hotter and hotter in BC, can't stand summer. This is summer for us now - close every window and door in the place. Shut all the curtains, blackout curtains too. Put on the air conditioner in the bedroom, all the fans are on. We don't go out unless we absolutely have to. So basically living in a cave the whole summer.

Although summer can be uncomfortable with 100 degree days, the part I like best about it is that weather doesn't interfere with travel or outdoor plans. I welcome the refreshing change of fall, and the early cool days of winter, but when it goes into those deep cold days, I have to protect water pipes, run space heaters, and sometimes I've had to cancel doctor appointments or other important plans due to ice on the roads. So - overall, I favor summer.

Neither. Tend to enjoy Spring most, but not for items the OP listed. I'm an old landscape and nature photographer. March through May is green, flowery, aesthetically beautiful across some lower elevations of California. That noted, there is plenty to keep me occupied most of the year except late fall. I ski Tahoe snow resorts during winter and Sierra Nevada backpack during summer. From April 2025 at North Table Mountain ER, downsized for web.

Summer for sure. When winter comes we leave and go to a summer climate. I grew up in Buffalo NY where it snowed more than I would have thought possible. Lake effect snow, enough for a lifetime. There was one year they had 8' of snow, in one storm. I do not miss anything about winter.
