My dad used to use those testers. He was always messing around with our TV. He was checking out tubes. He and my uncle got drunk and decided to "sharpen up" the picture. They took the TV apart, parts all over. When my mom got the TV repairman, he said the only way to get the TV together was to send it back to the factory. I do remember lots of fights back then.
