Do You Remember Your Room Posters?

They didn't have posters when I was growing up, but like some of you, I cut photos out of magazines or put up the beautiful, glossy, signed, 8"X10" photos you could get in the mail just for the asking. Mine were all cowboy TV stars of the 50's. My favorite was Dale Robertson, star of the Wells Fargo TV series.

I cant believe I found my posters..these were my black light posters I wont tell you what mum thought. lol

Never was allowed to put up posters, and always shared a room with my siblings. But I remember getting a free Dr. Kildare poster when I was young, and crying when my young nephew, who was still a toddler ripped it.

I wasn't allowed to put anything on the walls in my room as my parents didn't want the walls damaged. I was a teen in the mid-60s and wouldn't have known where to get them or even if they existed in my small town.

Chevrolet came out with one that I bought for my son. It was a billboard size picture of a Corvette. When he put it up it covered most of 2 walls.

I guess I overlooked the 60's part, all my going on's were in 70's, I hit teen numbers till '71 than I was 13, so it was more like mid 70's my real shenanigans began.:D

I graduated hs in 1970. I would have had Beatles posters and I'm sure a few others. Some hippie peace sign ones, etc. But my goody two shoes sister wouldn't have liked that.
