Yes, but I think my hair problems are chemo-related. First, my hair did not start growing back in until a year after chemo was done. It is a different color. It is a different - I dunno what it's called -- texture. It is very fine and not curly. It is very thin and I just got some hair covers from amazon so it won't fall out over food. Yesterday I noticed a thick strand of several hairs is dark brown. I have never had brown hair in my life. My parents had dark brown hair. Their 3 children had mid to dark blonde hair (like ash blonde, I think). Anyway, the entire hair after chemo thing is weird.
I'm about to start microneedling treatment. And eventually I will succumb to wearing a wig. In 9th grade, wigs were all the rage in Louisville, KY. Half the girls wore wigs. I swore then I would never do that. And now, I'm currently wondering if people can tell it's a wig, if people try pulling it off for a joke, and if it is worth paying $900+ for a human hair wig. I would like a wig that no one can tell is a wig.
It's not just hair. Cancer treatment ages people. This is a freaking unfortunate fact. If you saw my photo in early 2020 compared to late 2021, you would think I wasn't the same person. I don't go out in public often because of my appearance. Maybe I can get a head transplant. The rest of me, I can't complain about. It is normal. The head though, needs to go or get fixed.
