Do You Soak Your Nuts?

I admit the youtube video I posted seems slightly "out there".
You may check out Traditional Cooking School with Wardee and/or the Nourishing Traditions website.
They have been studying and teaching these skills for a long time.

It's amazing how wild a mind can go with a simple, innocent and fun post.
The original expression was to bust a nut, meaning to “lose one’s temper” or “fly off the handle.” Sometimes a thread can become quite a mix of serious and comic. The ambiguity of the thread title almost invites jest, but from what I have read, there's no serious vulgarity and hearlady seems to enjoy the wordplay, good for her.

HOW DO MY SOAKED NUTS TASTE?

The soaking process, as it begins to break things down in the nuts, lends to a slightly sweeter taste. I find that once I either low temperature toast or dehydrate, the nuts are more nutty tasting – more richer in flavour and more delicious. I also find myself to be more satiated by eating less, likely because the nutrients in them are more available to my body.

I bought a bag of unsalted almonds with skin on just before Christmas. I like to munch on a handful once in a while, but I'd never think of soaking them. Seems that would remove nutrients rather than improve them.
I agree. But I wonder if nut-bagger companies soak their nuts anyway?

Probly not. They probably just warm them. You know, to kill any bugs. Or maybe they just shake them really hard.

No I do not soak them I use WD40!!

My "Micro Touch Titanium Trim" comes with a Manscaper so I can trim without the risk of cutting. I learned that the hard way.
Yep, gotta keep those nuts in tip top shape even though they're just hang 'N around!
