Do you still like the hits you liked 50 years ago?

I still will revisit the hits that I enjoyed from decades ago. They can bring a smile to my face, and memories of earlier, happier times when life seemed more straightforward and less complicated, and there were things to look forward to. Songs can be powerful emotional triggers of a time, place, relationship, or person. It can be bittersweet too to hear a hit from Elvis or Michael Jackson, then sadly remember how they wound up...

Oh to be that young again. I was in my late teens and would go to the dances every weekend and watch bandstand everyday. I really loved the music then. My Dad had a friend whose job was filling juke boxes. He would always give my Dad records for me and my sister. We had music on all day. I really miss those days

Some yes.
Some no.
Same with me. Funny because some of the "fluff" songs I liked back then I will listen to now for a dose of nostalgia. But some of the more serious songs I don't listen to now not because I don't like them but they don't hold the same meaning to me as I have gotten older. For example, "Sugar Sugar" by the Archies will always put a smile on my face but a song like "Gimme Shelter" by the Stones I find hard to listen to these days (although the lyrics are still relevant).

I tend to overthink things sometimes :)
