Do you still play board games? What ones?

My niece and I have a tradition going back to when she was a kid. When they would come from Conn. for a visit, we would set up a Monoply game and have a marathon game, lasting her whole visit. When we would pause, we would have a not that said "my turn" as a place setter.

Here one of the other tenants in the building loves Scrabble, and would often bring his game down to the community room, and will set up a game.

I played Monopoly with my mom when I was a kid and my dad loved checkers.
When my kids were small I played Shute's and Ladders with them which was their favorite.
I haven't played board games in years. Sadly, my grandkids are more interested in computer games.

I play Monopoly Jr. with the little ones. We sort of make the rules up as we go along.

I get a big kick out of the 5 year old, who always tries to talk me into "fronting" her the money to buy property and then tries to get out of repaying me. I see a great career in finance ahead of her.

The 8 year old doesn't like to spend her money buying property, but doesn't understand why she always ends up last.

The 5 year old is ruthless.

I always played Scrabble with my late mother when I visited her. She was good at it.

I used to play Monopoly, but quit after I figured out a system for winning that worked about 75 % of the time, at least against my husband.

I love playing Scrabble.

The game I love the most is a card game: Bridge.
