I have a couple pair of Wranglers, nicely faded and still fit. I never wear them, makes me look old and I don't need any more help with that.

I wear shorts round the house all year except when it's real cold. Normally if I go out in public I wear one of several pair of Dickies work pants, makes it look like I'm working....😅

Nothing a comfy as a well worn pair of jeans for me.

A woman over 70 shouldn't be " showing lots of skin" period
 
You ladies that wear leggings.....where do you get them and the longer blouses/sweaters to go over them??

I've never like jeans but I've worn them when I was younger (and skinnier...haha), but never really felt comfortable in them. I worked for a big corporation for years and we had a dress code. The women had to wear dresses or skirts and the men had to wear dress slacks and dress shirts with a tie. Women were not permitted to wear slacks, but when I wasn't working, I wore slacks and never jeans. I was probably 45 or so before I started wearing jeans.

I purchase leggings from Amazon, Wal-Mart, clothing stores .. anywhere that has the cotton blend I want.
Because I'm short .. just touching 5 feet - blouses are long on me, and look like a tunic. I do buy tunics from Amazon and stores (Reitman's).

I also never felt comfortable in jeans, and they never had my length. I think they look best on taller people.

Thanks, Pinky for the info :) I'm also short and have always had a hard time getting the comfortable rise with jeans. I was looking on Amazon before lunch but didn't know what to look for as far as fabric blends. I'm assuming a high waist is more comfortable and won't creep down. I know tops from Women Within are longer, too.
 
No jeans, no t-shirts. I'm a stuffy old conservative so I need to look the part!

My go-to trousers are LL Bean straight leg no cuff chinos, about $50 a pair from the store or mail order.

It's hot here so I wear shorts from May to October. That also means using the air conditioning less.

I always go up in size (even a couple of sizes up), so the leggings aren't skin tight. Personally, I look for a high cotton percentage blend because I don't like lycra. Note that cotton will shrink when washed. Best to
try them on at the store for a proper fit.

As far as a high waist fit .. I have a short torso, etc., so can't wear the high waist (it would end up under my bosom 😂)
 
On the BBC TV this evening was the popular program called: "Inside The Factory." Tonight it was all about the manufacture of jeans. You are taken from the growing of the raw material, the cotton plant, through the production of the denim fabric.

After the denim is finished it's shipped to a factory that produces the jeans. Do you want to see it? Here you go. There's lots of details like distressing the fabric, making zippers, or for those who prefer, the button fastening fly. It was a fascinating program.

Let me tell you that, (whispers quietly) I don't have anything in denim, least of all jeans. The times that I have heard, "don't you ever wear jeans?" The best way to deal with that is to ignore it. Why would a clothing preference be someone else's business? I will stick to my mode of attire, but I did enjoy the program, absolutely riveting. (Riveting, get it? Sorry.)
