Do you think Senior Forum is for seniors ONLY?

I just have to say that there are other forums and other Internet platforms that are for all ages for those who want to be amongst younger people. I am also on Facebook and see others much younger which is the way it is there.

I'm glad to have a place like SF to commiserate and communicate with those over 50 or my age or older

I don't know why young folks would want to join the discussion on this forum. There are many forums out there.
I'm actually quite surprised that anyone under 50 would be attracted to a seniors discussion forum, they literally live in a complete different online culture. My 45 or less relatives never post on such "square" media as Facebook these days. They hang out on TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat, where there are non-stop video postings and such.

I don't think they're interested for the reasons y'all think they are. Many are scammers. They prey on older people.

I came here to specifically interact with people of my own generation. I find it difficult to relate to younger people other than a casual polite and short conversation. Except for my own kids of course, where we share many experiences and values.

Oddly it is still very easy to relate to younger children who haven't been corrupted by modern society and all of it's shortcomings and failures. People are a product of their upbringing and environment, so you see the world is doomed to fail...

some people genuinely have questions about senior care but they need to talk to a professional and not come here for advice.
They can find out everything they need to know by searching SF. They shouldn't join, and obviously shouldn't post, but I'd say it's a good place to a feel for life as a senior.

Now those people that are not 50+ that do post I find are most often spammers of some type looking to take advantage of Matrix and the members good will for economic gain. It starts w dishonesty and would get worse if they were not promptly banned,

In my neck of the woods, people are considered senior citizens when they reach age 62. That's when you can ride at senior rates on public transportation and take advantage of senior discounts at stores. With one exception, a restaurant that's now closed gave senior discounts at age 55. So if SF lets people join when they are 55, technically IMO they are not seniors.
