Do you think that a time will come when humans will be able to live together in harmony?

Here's something I need explained. How can I have 99 percent of my DNA in common with chimpanzees but only 12.5 percent of my DNA in common with my first cousin?
 

I think in theory we could become much better than today. And the trend has been toward harmony but some of that might just be the fear of weapons of mass destruction.
I'd be happy if we would just start small and improve managers.
 

Someday we might be able to live together in harmony, but it seems like right now, we're on the precipice of civil war. People are willing to go to prison, kill, and even be killed for their ideology — much of which is based on crazy conspiracy theories. All it's going to take is for one factual event to send them over the edge and plunge us into a full-fledged civil war. There's plenty of evidence that they're just waiting for the opportunity to put their stockpiles of weapons to use.

There are some right (and left) wing lunatics out there. But keep in mind there were hundreds of thousands of KKK members in the 1920s, even in Northern states like Indiana. In the 60s we had the Weathermen and other radical terror groups. We've had radical labor groups leading to things like the Haymarket bombing. I don't think it's any worse now than it has been at other times in our history.

dna is a product of , not-so-good goals, purposes and devices, is unreliable because those who 'control' it, like those who control if a test is plus or negative , is being used to
try to take away people's "free thought" and right to choose.
 
When, not IF, the combination of Climate Change and Overpopulation drives humanity into a conflict that makes WWII seem like a minor altercation....which may well happen before this century is over....perhaps the survivors will be able to come together under a common language and set of laws, Until/if that happens, the divisions we are currently seeing will only continue to increase.

Peace, love, compassion, and acceptance - These were the guiding principles that many of us lived by, so why did we have to grow up and why didn't our dreams of a better world come true? Did too many "sell out?"

I do remember being influenced by the music of those times. Perhaps later music (and media) stirred up less noble ideals.

Sure but that will be sometime in the future when mankind has depleted most of earths resources. Not total extinction but a reduction in population & living in areas where crops can be grown. Survival of those left will depend on living in harmony.

Unfortunately, the survivors will likely be the most aggressive and well-armed. /-;

There is no real peace in nature. Every species, whether plant or animal is in competition for survival. We are no different. It's in our genes to want a bigger piece of the pie. That's why Communism doesn't work. What's that quote from Animal Farm? "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others." Would you really be willing to lower your standard of living so that everyone in the world would be at the same level? We who are comfortable are so at the expense of many who aren't.

When resources are scarce and times are tough, and they will be, people will follow leaders who promise them more. They always have and always will. Why are most of the Russian people supporting Putin? It's because he has promised to make Russia a great power again.

Totally did when I was saved and immersed in Jesus Name. "We" believers consider nothing our own, same as written throughout the New Testament, for those living a resurrected life by grace.

Does that mean you wouldn't mind paying a lot more for your food and other items if everyone producing them was paid what an average office worker here makes? What do you think a pound of coffee would cost?

Or do you feel it's OK for them to be poor because they will be equal in heaven? I think that's what the slaves in this country were told.
