I dunno how it works where you live, but here, public defenders are not rushing out to their next golf game, and probably can't even afford to play golf. Most of them are very recently out of law school and are very inexperienced; they are also seriously overloaded with cases, and they don't exactly make big bucks. As soon as they get a bit of experience, they are off to more lucrative jobs.

I knew about Laura Bush. It's funny that the first time I saw her when her husband was running for president, I told several friends, "She looks sad, even when she's smiling." Maybe it's guilt.

Master Couch and mommy fled the country and she was arrested but I don't know how far that went. Probably nowhere as usual.

The rich can afford to hire a team of expensive lawyers....whereas the poor often have to rely on a public defender, who is more interested in making his next golf game. Just like Income Inequality, there is a wide gap between the rich and poor in our justice system.

While I'd love to say that we are all equal under the law, I feel that is a promise that will be fulfilled many centuries from now. Unfortunately, if you have enough disposable cash to spread around,............................And,..if you hit the trifecta- super rich, white, & female , you probably won't even have a bad hair day.
