Do you use any smart home automation devices?

I believe that, except in very limited situations, as in helping those with seriously disabling handicaps, the installation of smart devices, is anything but: If you can access your home devices via the internet, there is zero chance that motivated individuals can't!

No, we don't. We do OK with the simple life but if I came into a ton of $ I'd probably try some of those newfangled inventions. We don't even have a doorbell. No heating thermostat because we have wood heat. There is thermostats on our A/Cs.

I'm not sure what you mean but I do have a Smart TV, 48 inch Samsung and I love it.

Is it smarter than you? Can you use all the features or just watch TV.?

I have a smart TV but it's not one of those real smart t.v.s. I can outsmart it all the time. It hasn't got me figured out yet. L.O.L.

No doorbell. Well they have wireless doorbells now. You just stick the button on the door and hang the receiver anywhere handy in the house. I have one in my apartment. But guess what? No one rings it. They always knock. And you can tell by the knock the importance of it. The police or fire department knock is different from the neighbor who wants to borrow money.

Yep. I've even disabled "Siri" and "Cortana." I don't like devices listening to my mundane life.

I don't know if it's considered an automation device but the house we just moved into about a year ago had a stair lift chair to enable us to ride down the basement stairs instead of climbing them. My Husband has knee problems and the stair lift is great.
