Do you want special abilities?

A very high level of musical creativity. I seem to be a good "technician" in that I can readily arrange tunes for solo instrumental guitar, but creating new original interesting music just doesn't seem to happen for me.

Regarding money as mentioned in this thread, I find it interesting that my younger brother and me were never particularly driven by money interests, but instead in interests in certain fields. My older brother was always scheming about ways to make money. Now that much of our respective lives have been lived and I look back on it, my younger brother and I both pursued the fields that interested us and the money just seemed to come with it (not big wealth, but sufficiency), while my older brother never did find that pot of gold he seemed to be searching for.

The ability to make money without having to work for it....:p
How lucky am I to be able to boast that? All we could afford when we bought our home was a semi derelict slum in Hackney that most others wouldn't go near. Next thing you know, Hackney becomes gentrified, homes that were once viewed with disdain are now desirable, very desirable, seven figure desirable.
Joining an organisation that had a brilliant head honcho, gaining shares at ninety pence, having share options year on year, amassing those shares until they reached sixteen pounds each and then selling them. If you had ever told me that I would right out a cheque for capital gains tax in excess of six figures I would have said that you were on the waccy baccy.

I am always happy for people when life does something good like that.

Thanks, I like you too. Now if I could just get #2 on the list to kick in but don't think that's ever gonna happen, sigh
You know, I was where you were at the last 3 years and finally I told my guy that if we moved somewhere different , he could go fishing anytime he wanted and have his own 24 x 24 workshop as well as be mortgage and debt free.
He changed his mind .

Downsizing usually means less expensive which equals more money for doing things you enjoy.
Sorry for going off topic. I’m horrible for that. 🙃

Well done horseless...good business insight, I like that! Hackney of today is nothing compared to the old Hackney. My Jewish SIL’s grandparents, Russian Jews settled in Hackney after the war. They worked hard and suffered much and now their children and grandchildren live in Hampstead, Golders Green, Highgate etc. I remember when I was a child we were warned about notorious Notting Hill …look at Notting Hill now!

My problem is he's got his big workshop where we are now and we are already mortgage and debt free. So he's got everything he wants right here and is already doing the things that he enjoys (playing golf and screwing around out there in his workshop) and I'm not; so he's happy anyway.
