Do you want to live in a "seniors" only area?

I like having families around. My neighborhood has moms pushing baby strollers, youngsters riding bikes, teens shooting hoops....

If it weren't for them, I'd probly never see an ice-cream truck.
Due to our semi-gravel 'backroad' access off the nearby highway, young mothers tend make use of those baby carriers that keep the infant on the back or front of the mum. As well, I like seeing young people walking or jogging on our road. Alas, no ice-cream trucks. But we have numerous friends in their 30s & 40s. The overall ambience helps keep us livelier, I think.

I live in a senior apartment bldg. 62 and older. Right now, I am very happy here among my peers. I spent 35 years in a mixed age neighborhood...families and others. It was ok when I was a bit younger. But now I do prefer being with other seniors. We still see our share of children here...when grandkids visit.
But, as some have said, it is not ideal for everyone.
Yes, there are the "high school" gossipy groups, and a small group of mean girls. But I have better learned to speak up for myself and just walk away when the mean girls get too , well, mean.
Even when younger, I was more comfortable among older adults....my parents were in their 40s when they had me.

Not a nursing home but a senior oriented absolutely. I get all this stuff about living with living and not just those ill or waiting for the end. But a senior's or anyone's final days shouldn't be spent in area filled noise, kaos, commotion etc. One can always go out into the community.

Noise pollution in general is becoming a problem for everyone. Loud noises can trigger primal responses and put people in a fight or flight mode. In a "civilized" society that becomes a state of agitation or angry people since they are not fighting. Which leads to more issues.
