Do you wear a wrist watch?

Today many people do not wear a wrist watch because they are never with out their
smart phones and have the time there.
If I leave the house for appointments or errands and forget my watch I am stressed.
I have a cell phone which I carry mainly in case I have car trouble on the road but I do not want to
dig it out of my purse or pocket to see the time.

Are wrist watches not in fashion anymore and do you wear one?

That's what I'm thinking, not fashionable anymore. I have not bought one in years because they are a hassle to wear, they get caught everywhere, I can't make out what time it is anyways, forget it, just look at the cell phone.

I wore one daily when I was working, and when I retired, I retired my watch also. I do wear it when we're out in the woods on camping trips, so I have some idea of what time it is, especially if there's an accident or incident. Easy in the wilderness to lose track of time, until nightfall. On sunny days you have some idea of the time, by watching where the sun is.

Always wear one when I leave the house. My mobile phone is a very basic one and I'd need to put my reading glasses on to see the time. :magnify:

Thanks all for your replies.
I really like to have my watch on when I'm out and about.
It's probably a habit to want to keep track of the time. My cell phone is
small and basic too and I like being able to check the time on my watch.

haven't worn a watch since I retired, don't count time anymore, only my sleep hours n I like to get 8 but often don't, can't stand my mobile phone it makes noises, I can do without noises lol

I always wear a watch, apart from in bed, on my right wrist, it is a time controlled man's watch. I dislike mobile phones and only carry one when drive in case of emergency.

I used to wear a wrist watch, but when I started work as a computer engineer, we were not allowed to wear anything metallic when working at the machines, so, I got out of the way of wearing one. I don't have a smart phone, only a 'dumb' one that I keep for emergencies. However, I have found that I can tell the time pretty well without one. If I get the occasonal time check, I can extrapolate this quite accurately without needing a timepiece. Just a knack I've got. I never use an alarm clock either.

Pappy,
I cant read that watch,it just has a lot of numbers in circle with 2 white thingys pointing those.
My watch has only 3 numbers that keep changing every hour.:(

I always wear one of my watches except when I go to bed.

My favorite (which I wear most) is like Just Me's; Exact to the second; never needs winding
and even adjusts to the biannual time changes.

I would rather glance at my wrist than dig out a phone. But, have neither a wrist watch nor a phone. When I was jumping in Our Mother Ocean daily at dawn for a dose of real life, always made sure to have a watch so I could get out in time for work. Now-a-daze, I try not to worry about time . . .

Maybe I spoke to soon but never had a 24 hour watch and while in the Army I always had trouble figuring out what time it was. I would have to count back or forward. Like 21 hundred hours I would back from 24 hundred hours. Just me I guess. Opps, that title belongs to Justme.

I guess it's because I grew up with 24hr time. It just makes sense. OOOO to 2400. EZ.
