Do you wear reading glasses?

I do. Just now one of the lenses fell out because a miniature screw fell out.
Of course there was no chance of finding it
Now I have to go back to where I purchased them for repairs.
Such a design flaw that has been around for as long as the modern era glasses have been around.
I think a better method would be to use rivets instead of screws.
They would never fall out.
If one needed stronger lenses, then the rivet could be drilled out.
If rivets were used it would be difficult to replace a broken side piece. It would also be hard to tightenup the arm when it got loose. You can take them to almost any outlet that sells glasses. They will likely replace the screw at no charge. It just makes good business sense to help out.

Although I wear prescription glasses and got a new pair of progressives back in November, I inadvertently found out that I can see the text on the computer slightly better with the reading glasses I had from years ago. Of course the reading part on my glasses is at the bottom, so I'd have to tilt my head back to an uncomfortable position to read at maximum visibility while using the computer.

I've always gotten my reading glasses from Dollar Tree. After cataract-glaucoma surgeries during which my specialist also corrected my vision to 20/20 (an unexpected benefit), I went crazy buying reading and sun glasses at DT. I also bought an eyeglass repair kit for when the screws came loose.

Yes I wear reading glasses, have since I was in my mid forties, I buy basic readers from the store.
