Do your neighbors drive you up the wall?😭😡

We moved from the condo to a SFH 8 years ago with no regrets. When we first moved to the condo our HOA fees were $125/mo, now they are over $400 so it was time to move on since the management company was putting too much in their pocket.
Our current neighborhood consists of 12 houses, most of the neighbors are pretty good but one set his house on fire burning it, and his neighbor's to the ground. Another one is a former fireman who fancies himself as the local bully, so those are the only 2 we don't associate with - the rests we keep our chat to meeting at the mailbox once in a while.

We had some neighbors from hell at our last house plus some at least from "heck".

I love the neighborhood we live in now. A nice mix of retirees and younger folks. We're friendly with a few around us. People walk their dogs and stop to talk. It's quiet as death at night. Knock on wood, nobody has dogs that bark for hours.

As i read this i look out the window ....... it has been a year plus since neighbors moved in our yard goes up to their drive about 1 foot of grass is actually theirs but i mow etc ...... told them to feel free when they moved in to walk thru yard IF needed ......while moving in etc

Now they think yard is theirs they have junk all over my lawn have to move to even mow. .........my lawn was the envy of whole neighborhood .... this neighbor decided there was a dip far from his area that is adjacent to his .......... he dumped a yard of top soil over dip area to smooth it out looks like i have a grave in middle of yard..... and killed all my green lawn told me his wife is clumsy and he was afraid she would trip ........ why would she be 5-10 feet into my property? ........ i hope everyday they decide to move as they took a loverly home and created a big fixer upper by one BAD DIY project after another.
That’s really awful. Is there any way to fence it so they can’t keep destroying it?

My wife has had sleep terrors ever since I have known her.

When we lived in a small apartment, she'd wake up in the middle of the night screaming and throwing stuff around. The next day I'd always get 'the fish eye' from my neighbours. I think I was probably known as the wife beater in the neighbourhood.

Beezer - Or maybe they thought that you were having great sex last night?

I had a lot of problems with neighbor noise from pets, to kids to loud music when I lived at my other house. Not so bad here now. There's a house up the street with an in-ground pool that I've heard screaming kids and music, but it's far enough away that it doesn't bother me too much. The noise here is mostly what I term "necessary noise" like lawn mowers and garbage trucks at 6 am.
