Does anyone else prefer autumn/winter to summer/spring

I used to love the sun when I was much younger but now too much sun makes me irritable and anxious. And I did not realize how much the sun/heat adversely affects me. I only realized this when I was on my tablet and accidently put on a game app that featured rain sounds right at the beginning. The sound of rain on my tablet (with my earplugs in) just totally calmed me down. I was just amazed how just the sound of rain calmed me down! I'm counting the days until the sunset is at 7 pm instead of 10 pm now. Anyone else feel like that?

yep Me...I love the rain.. I love the dark afternoons... of winter...

I used to really love the sun, but lately it's got too hot at times, and I don't like that..with no AC and no pool here in the UK... In Spain I like the sun much better because I have AC and a pool...plus after the rain in Spain the mozzies come out in force, and we get bitten to heck.... we don't have that here in the UK.. so the rains here are refreshing, and clear the air, and we don't have to suffer Mosquitoes afterwards

No. As miserable as this summer heat is, I prefer it to the miserable cold of winter. +30C is better than -30C.

I'm a sucker for The Fall...

The crisp, cool air and golden days of sunshine. I love the clothing as well...the jackets and sweaters and windbreakers. Thanksgiving and Halloween are also two of my favorite days of the year.

Autumn never fails to put a bounce in my step.

Oh Jules, no way for me. I lived in Montreal and I loved the cold and the snow. Mind you at that time, I also loved the hot sunny weather. 😁 I moved out to Vancouver because my French was so bad and I was having problems finding a job.

We had a glass top on our dinner table in the Dining room when I was a little boy.

Mom would get me to pick colorful leaves from the yard, and she'd place them under the glass for Thanksgiving Dinner. It really made for a homey and special ambiance. :)

Well I wish I could give you some of mine, have had plenty this year. :D
yes you can have too much of a good thing. The last 3 years have been seriously hot here... and of course 99 % of British homes have no AC.. and often I would post pictures at 2am showing the temperature in my house to be in the 90's..impossible to sleep... so I love the sun... I like it to be warm.. but I'm more than happy at 70 deg f given I have no AC..and the fans just move the heat around really... .

Right now in my house.. at 1.20am.. it's 80.6 deg F... and that's because there's no AC... and that's before the temps climb high...today there were only low 80's... if we get into the 90's this house traps the heat even with the windows open all day

Since I lived the first 25 years of my life in on the Pacific coast, heat wasn't my thing. If it froze and we had frost in the morning, that was worth mentioning. Now I live in the valley. I adjusted without issues but now with this increased heat, I'm really hating it.

Also lived in Washington state for about 7 years. Snow and cold but certainly not like some places. I didn't mind that either, or the rain.

So yes, I prefer the cooler months.

Also I like the sun coming up. I worked too many years PM shift where I slept until 10-11 missing mornings. However by evening, I'm getting down. I don't know anymore if it's related to my stepfather calling at 7. I dread talking to him because I don't even like him but I can never tell him that. So it ruins every evening.
